About us
Rooted in community, built to last
A Bellevue, Washington nonprofit replicating proven social business models to fight poverty and build local self-sufficiency.
Global Social Business Partners (GSBP) was founded in 2010 by Narima Amin, inspired by her own childhood experience of food insecurity. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Bellevue, Washington.
Our mission is to replicate and adapt sustainable models, inspired in part by Professor Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank and Grameen Shakti framework, to combat poverty and foster local self-sufficiency.
We do this through social business incubation (ISEED: Innovation for Social Entrepreneurship and Environmental Development), weekly emergency food distribution, permaculture training and education, and youth-driven innovation through Youth Rising.
